Aktivity, úkoly a cíle International Society for Knowledge Organization (ISKO)

Abstract

Bakalářská práce představuje aktivity, úkoly a cíle Mezinárodní společnosti pro pořádání informací a znalostí (ISKO). Práce je rozdělena na čtyři části. První část popisuje současnost společnosti a také její historii. Druhá část obsahuje seznam národních poboček ISKO a jejich aktivit. Třetí část pojednává o této společnosti v České republice a čtvrtá část zkoumá tematiku periodik, které ISKO vydává, konkrétně časopisu Knowledge Organization a edice sborníků z konferencí Advances in Knowledge Organization v letech 2008 - 2012. Tematika je určována užitím prvních dvou úrovní Klasifikačního systému pro literaturu zaměřenou na oblast pořádání informací a znalostí, a řazením článků a příspěvků do jednotlivých tematických tříd. Nejčetnějším tématem byly v daných periodikách on-line vyhledávací systémy a technologie.

The bachelor thesis presents acitivities, tasks and aims of International Society for Knowledge Organization (ISKO). The thesis is divided into four parts. The first part describes the society today and also its history. The second part gives an overview of national chapters of ISKO and their activities. The third part discusses the ISKO presence in the Czech Republic and the fourth part examines themes of periodicals published by ISKO, namely of Knowledge Organization journal and series of conference proceedings Advances in Knowledge Organization, during years 2008 - 2012. The theme is determined using the first two levels of the Classification System for Knowledge Organization Literature and by sorting the articles and proceedings into different thematic classes. The most numerous topic in the periodicals was on-line retrieval systems and technologies.
