Teoretická část práce pojednává o anatomických a kineziologických souvislostech, vertebrogenních onemocněních, diagnostických a terapeutických postupech a metodě McKenzieho. Speciální část práce se zabývá výzkumným šetřením efektivity této metody při terapii vertebrogenních obtíží. Dílčími cíli výzkumného šetření bylo zjistit vliv této metody na snížení intenzity bolesti a její vliv při zvládání aktivit běžného denního života. Zkoumaný vzorek tvořili pacienti s bolestmi zad, kteří se po dobu dvou měsíců ambulantně léčili na rehabilitačním oddělení polikliniky.

The first part deals with the anatomical and kinesiological context, vertebral diseases, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and the McKenzie method. The special section deals with the research of the effect of this method in the treatment of vertebral disorders. The other goals of this research were to determine the effect of this method to reduce pain and its influence on managing activities of daily living. The researched sample was consisted of patients with back pain, these patients were treated for two months at an outpatient rehabilitation department clinics.
