Tělesné modifikace - fenomén dnešní doby? : Motivy pro piercing, tetování a další tělesné modifikace v historii a dnes

Abstract

This bachelor's work deals with the theme of body modifications, especially with two which are the most common in our society: tattoo and piercing. In the theoretical part, there are emphasized roots of these modifications in the past, their changes and development till the present. This is done by compilation and comparison of books and professional works dealing with this topic. The second part is practical. It encompasses quantitative research completed with parts of interviews from pre-research together with analysis of research results. Owing to this the author of this bachelor's work tries to gain her own view on present-day situation and the trend of this phenomenon of our time. The research concentrates on individuals who have these modifications, on their incentives and motives leading to the modifications and their views on the other modified individuals. The research is to point out whether body modifications are only the matter of fashion or if they have a special meaning for the holder.

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem tělesných modifikací, především dvěma nejběžnějšími v dnešní společnosti: tetováním a piercingem. V teoretické části práce jsou pomocí kompilace i komparace knih či odborných prací zabývajících se tímto tématem zdůrazněny kořeny těchto modifikací v minulosti a jejich proměny a vývoj až po dnešní dobu. Druhou část práce tvoří praktická část, která zahrnuje kvantitativní výzkum doplněný částí rozhovorů z předvýzkumu spolu s analýzou výsledků výzkumu, díky kterému se autorka snaží získat vlastní náhled na současnou situaci a vývoj tohoto fenoménu dnešní doby. Ve výzkumu byl důraz kladen pouze na jedince mající tělesné modifikace, na jejich pohnutky a motivy, které je vedly k těmto modifikacím i jejich názory na ostatní modifikované jedince. Výzkum má poukázat především na to, zda jsou tělesné modifikace pouze módní záležitostí nebo zda mají pro nositele hlubší význam.
