Komparace integračních politik Nizozemí a Belgie se zaměřením na situaci muslimských imigrantů v těchto zemích

Abstract

The main subject of this bachelor thesis is to compare integration policies in Belgium and the Netherlands, focusing in particular to Muslim immigrants. The values of liberal democracy shared by both countries are underlying their approach to this issue. Research of historical background described in first part of the thesis, was crucial for understanding the way of integration policies course. Rapid economic growth after Second World War was the main reason for arrival of the first Muslim immigrants in the sixties. Wage workers from Turkey and Morocco were hired for the jobs for which local residents showed no interest. First thesis pronouncing the need for a consistent approach to this issue, were formulated almost twenty years later in both countries. After the first oil crisis in the early seventies, the fact that Muslim immigrants want to stay in the countries, despite of lack of work for them, became clear. At the beginning of the eighties both countries are taking the first steps to set up necessary changes. At this point, yet simile policies of examined countries begin to differentiate. The comparative method is used especially in the third part deals with different approaches of Belgium and the Netherlands to this topic. Hlavním tématem práce je komparace integračních politik Belgie a Nizozemí se zaměřením na situaci muslimských imigrantů. Obě země sdílejí hodnoty liberální demokracie, na jejichž základech se snaží k této problematice od počátku jejího vzniku přistupovat. V práci jsem se zaměřila na popis vývoje integračních politik, pro jehož pochopení bylo třeba zahrnout také klíčové historické momenty formování národních identit obou zemí, kterým je věnována první část textu. Cesta k vytvoření integračních politik začíná v Belgii i Nizozemí obdobím po konci druhé světové války, kdy obě země zažívaly prudký ekonomický rozvoj. První vlna muslimských imigrantů přichází na pozvání vlád Belgie a Nizozemí v 60. letech. Námezdní dělníci z Turecka a Maroka obsadili pracovní místa, o která domácí pracovníci neměli zájem. Formulace prvotních tezí o potřebě řešení nárůstu imigrantů v obou zemích byly vyřčeny téměř o dvacet let později. Až po první ropné krizi na počátku 70. let, bylo jasné, že muslimští imigranti chtějí v zemi setrvat, ačkoliv už pro ně v důsledku ekonomické recese neexistuje pracovní uplatnění. Na počátku 80. let tak obě země přijímají první opatření, kterými se snaží nastavit další rámec vývoje. V tento moment také končí doposud velice podobný vývoj v obou zemích.
