I Mun-jǒlova topoi

Abstract

Předmětem bakalářské práce "I Mun-jǒlova topoi" je analýza tvorby poválečného korejského prozaika I Mun-jǒla, který je jedním z průkopníků korejské moderní literatury. První část se věnuje jeho životu, tvorbě a tématům, která se objevují a opakují v jeho dílech, s přihlédnutím k možnému spojení autorovy tvorby s vlastními životními peripetiemi. Druhá, objemnější část práce, se zabývá literárními rozbory tří z jeho děl, Siin, Hwangdžerǔl ühajǒ a Saramǔi adǔl. Tyto analýzy sledují klasické narativní kategorie času, prostoru a zařazení do historie a neopomínají autorovu intenci. Práce obsahuje i překlad dvou vybraných částí novely Auwaǔi mannam, který má umožnit lepší náhled do osoby autora i jeho tvorby.

The aim of the thesis is mainly to introduce the life and work of the foremost post-war novelist Yi Mun-yǒl, who had a significant influence on Korean modern literature. Firstly, the thesis describes author's life and bibliography as well as themes and topics which are often repeated throughout many of his books. There is also a note on a possible link between author's harsh life and it's effects on his work. Secondly, three of his books are analyzed - Siin, Hwangjerǔl wihayǒ and Saramǔi adǔl. Historical context, categories of time and space and author's intentions are amongst the key terms of observation. The present work includes translation of a part from the novella Auwaǔi mannam, which is included for the better understanding of author's personality and work.
