Analyzuje a hodnotí příčiny, průběh a důsledky války zejména ve vztahu k Rusku a státům Střední Asie. Prezentuje také spletité vnitřní problémy, kterým čelil režim šáha Šudži, jejich eskalaci až k povstání, které znamenalo jeho pád a vojenskou porážku britských vojsk v Afghánistánu.
Anotation This thesis deals with the First British-Afghan war in the context of the history of international relations in the 19th century. It analyzes and evaluates the causes, course and consequences of war, particularly in relation to Russia and countries of Central Asia. It also presents complex of internal difficulties, which faced the regime of Shah Shoojah, their escalation up to the rebellion, which was followed by his fall, and military defeat of British troops in Afghanistan.
