Europeizace české zahraniční politiky a vliv předsednictví v Radě EU: Případ palestinsko-izraelského konfliktu

Abstract

Tato diplomová práce aplikuje teoretický koncept europeizace na zkoumání české zahraniční politiky a jejích případných proměn v souvislosti s výkonem předsednické funkce v Radě EU. Na příkladu palestinsko-izraelského konfliktu jsou analyzovány rozdílné české a evropské postoje a jejich následným srovnáním je určována míra nesouladu mezi českými stanovisky a pozicemi EU. Česká republika je historickou tradicí i díky současné politice známá velmi přátelskými vztahy s Izraelem. Naopak EU se významně soustředí na podporu Palestinců a budování jejich státu. Výzkum je rozdělen do tří časových období: před předsednickým mandátem v letech 2004-2008, během českého předsednictví a po jeho skončení až do konce roku 2010. Cílem tohoto výzkumu je na konkrétním případu palestinsko-izraelské problematiky zhodnotit změny v míře nesouladu mezi českou domácí a evropskou sférou a zjistit, zdali v daném období došlo k europeizaci české zahraniční politiky. Hlavní otázkou této diplomové práce je, zdali má předsednictví v Radě EU vliv na dlouhodobější europeizaci domácí zahraniční politiky. This diploma thesis applies the theoretical concept of Europeanization on a research of the Czech foreign policy and its changes in relation to the presidency of the EU Council. As a case study, it analyses different Czech and EU's positions towards the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and then by comparison of both levels it determines the misfit between Czech and the EU's policies in the mentioned agenda. From historical point of view and from contemporary perspective as well, the Czech Republic is famous for very pro-Israeli attitudes. On the other hand, the EU is significantly focused on supporting of the Palestinians and building the Palestinian state. The research is divided into three periods: before the Czech Presidency of the EU in the years 2004-2008, during the Czech Presidency and then after the presidency until the end of 2010. The aim of the research is to evaluate changes of the misfit between the Czech domestic attitudes and the EU's positions by the example of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict's issues and then to find out whether the Czech foreign policy has been europeanized during the studied period.
