Náboženství, tradice a zvyky Romů

Abstract

Ve své práci jsem se snažila vylíčit tradice a zvyky v životě slovenských Romů, zachytila jsem koloběh žití od narození a křtu až po umírání, smrt a pohřbívání. Práce přináší pohled i na romský postoj k víře a náboženství, který je založen převážně na přírodně animistickém základě s příměsí toho, co bylo přejato z křesťanského náboženství okolního majoritního obyvatelstva. Tyto tradiční zvyklosti jsem hledala ve své rodině, jejíž předkové pocházejí ze slovenského Bardějova. Zajímala jsem se o to, do jaké míry se v jejich bytí udržely původní hodnoty a romské kořeny. Formou rozhovorů, pozorováním a vlastní zkušeností jsem získala poznatky, které uvádím ve své práci. Tyto nabyté informace poskytují vhled do romské komunity, zachycují míru zakotvenosti kulturních elementů a proměnu postojů v rámci jedné rodiny ve třech generacích. V nich postupně narůstá podíl neromského původu a celková míra ovlivnění majoritní českou kulturou. Jedná se zcela o subjektivní pohled na skutečnost doplněný i vlastní sebereflexí, který může sloužit pro účely pokročilejšího výzkumu. První kapitolu věnuji cíli práce. Ve druhé kapitole popisuji metodiku a výzkumný vzorek. Ve třetí kapitole se zabývám náboženstvím a jednotlivými tradicemi a zvyky Romů, jako jsou romství, vztahy a role v rodině, úcta ke stáří, endogamie,...

Romany Religion, Tradition and Customs I tried to describe tradition and customs of Slovakian Romany people in my thesis, I showed their life cycle from birth and christening up to dying, death and funeral. The Romany attitude towards faith and religion is showed too which lies on natural animistic basis mainly, combined with elements borrowed from Christian religion of the major population. I looked for the traditional customs in my family, our ancestors come from Bardějov in Slovakia. I was interested in the fact to which extent the original values and Romany roots maintained. The information I obtained in the conversation, observation and my own experience I used in my thesis. The information is an insight into the Romany community, shows the degree of confirmation of cultural elements and the change of attitudes within one family in three generations. The portion of non-Romany origin is higher gradually and the total degree of the influence of the major Czech culture is higher as well. This is an entirely subjective view on the fact and selfreflexion is added which could be a basis for a deeper research. Chapter one deals with the purpose of the thesis.
