Komentovaný překlad knihy García Ráfolos, J. La Doma Vaquera: Del campo a las p ista de consurso. Barcelona: Editoral Hispano Europea, 2008

Abstract

Tato bakalářská práce si klade za cíl podat funkčně ekvivalentní překlad pěti kapitol z knihy o španělském jezdectví, která byla primárně určena španělskému čtenáři s alespoň základními znalostmi jak této oblasti, tak oblasti tamější historie, tradic a reálií. Práce sestává ze dvou částí: vlastního textu překladu a následného komentáře, který se nejdříve zabývá analýzou výchozího textu a nastíněním problematických okruhů, s nimiž jsme se při překladu setkali, a následně strategiemi a posuny, kterých bylo využito pro řešení jednotlivých překladatelských problémů. Pro názornou ilustraci je každá z těchto strategií doprovázena ukázkami z textu originálu i překladu. V příloze práce nalezneme kopii originálního textu překladu a příslušné fotografie.

The aim of this thesis is to present a functionally equivalent translation of five chapters from a book about Spanish equitation. This book was primarily aimed to Spanish readers with at least basic knowledge about the topic and about Spanish history, traditions and culture. The thesis consists of two parts: the proper text of the translation, and the following commentary which focuses first on the analysis of the original text and problematic areas which we find while translating the text, and second on strategies and shifts used for solving all of the translation problems. Each of these strategies goes with illustrations from both the original and the translated text. There is a copy of the original text and respective photos attached in the appendix.
