Johannes Urzidil - Ein Beitrag zu Leben und Werk unter besondere Berücksichtigung seines Blicks auf das Theater des deutschprachigen Milieu in Prag

Abstract

Anotace: Cílem této práce je upozornit na osobnost pražské německé literatury Johanna Urzidila, na jeho život a dílo ve světle životní filosofie tohoto autora, která propojuje jeho prozaické, lyrické i novinářské texty. V práci je poukázáno na podstatné události, které ovlivnily autorovu životní cestu a především jeho myšlenkový svět, pramen jeho tvorby. Z objemného Urzidilova díla je popisována část zabývající se tématikou divadla. Z období let 1920 až 1940 jsou vybrány tři články publikované v tehdejším tisku, které se věnují problematice Pražského německého divadla, přibližují práci významných osobností divadla, podávají kritiku divadelních sezón a reflektují význam divadla pro kulturní veřejnost. Svým tématem jsou články zařazeny do historického rámce snahy německého národa, žijícího v zemích Koruny české, od roku 1918 v Československu, o vybudování německého národního divadla v Praze. Tento rámec je vytvořen na základě textu Jitky Ludvové "Nationaltheater und Minderheitentheater. Ideen und Theaterpraxis." Práce dále ozřejmuje Urzidilův pohled na divadlo v teoretické rovině a závěrem osvětluje jeho názory na umění obecně. Podkladem jsou eseje opět publikované v dobovém tisku.

Annotation: The aim of this thesis is to draw attention to the personality of Prague German literature, Johannes Urzidil, to his life and work, in the light of authors life philosophy, that connects his prosaic, lyrical and journalistic texts. The thesis points out the important events that influenced the author's way of life and above all his intellectual world, the source of his work. From the extensive Urzidil's work, the part dealing with the theater issues is described. For this purpose, three articles published in the press within the period 1920 - 1940 are chosen. They are dedicated to the issue of the Prague German Theater, illustrated the work of its prominent personalities, cover the theater critiques of the mentioned seasons and reflect the cultural significance of theater for the public. Thematically, the articles belong to the framework of the historical efforts of the German people living in the Lands of the Bohemian Crown (and since 1918 in Czechoslovakia), to build a German National Theatre in Prague. This framework is based on the text of Jitka Ludvová "Nationaltheater und Minderheitentheater. Ideen und Theaterpraxis."
