Abstract

Historické kořeny konfliktu v Náhorním Karabachu Obsahem této práce bude problém historického pozadí územního sporu Arménie a Ázerbájdžánu o Náhorní Karabach. Hlavním cílem by mělo být zodpovědět otázku, jakou roli v tomto sporu hrály územní změny, které se na jižním Kavkaze v průběhu staletí udály a jak problém Náhorního Karabachu ovlivnila politika třech velkých říší - Ruska, Turecka a Persie. Dalším cílem bude nastínit i etnické a náboženské faktory a vyjasnit vztah křesťanských Arménů s muslimským obyvatelstvem Zakavkazska. Otázka stýkání a potýkání se Arménů s okolo usídleným obyvatelstvem vyznávajícím islám - ne jen s Azery na východě, ale i s Turky a Kurdy, je nezbytná pro pochopení celkové situace v regionu.

The Historical Causes of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict The following bachelor thesis covers the historical development of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The main goal is to analyse the question of the area changes that have occured in the Caucasus during centuries and also to show the influnce of policy of three main empires - Russian, Ottoman and Persian. The text is also trying to outline the ethnic and religious factors and clarify a relation of Christian Armenians and Shi'a Muslim Azeris in the Transcaucasus. The problem of coexistence between Armenian Christians and surrounding Muslim majority - not only Azeris on the east but also Turks and Kurds, is crucial for understanding of situation in the region.
