Abstract

Tato práce se zabývá rozborem díla Rómula Gallegose Doa Bárbara. Zahrnuje důležité informace o životě autora a podmínkách vzniku tohoto románu. Je zaměřena především na proměnu klíčových postav díla a shrnuje také stručně problematiku fenoménu civilizace a barbarství. Popsána je také symbolika ve jménech postav a v některých přírodních jevech, které se v díle vyskytují.

This thesis deals with the analysis of Rómulo Gallegos's novel Doa Bárbara. It contains important information about the life of the writer and the conditions of the creation of this literary work. It is focused especially on the metamorphosis of the head characters and it also recapitulates the issue of the antithesis civilization-barbarism. The symbology of the names of the characters and possible explanations of some of the phenomena (which can be found in the novel) are also described.
