Teplota jako zdrojová oblast konceptuálních metafor

Abstract

Práce je zaměřena na výzkum zdrojové oblasti teploty a s ní souvisejících pojmů. Jsou v ní zohledněny přístupy jak amerického, tak polského směru kognitivní jazykovědy. Na začátku je charakterizován vztah pojmů TEPLO a CHLAD k jiným základním pojmům strukturujícím naše chápání reality. Stěžejní část práce se zabývá teplotou jako zdrojovou oblastí v konceptualizaci emocí, emocionálních stavů, chování a charakteru člověka. Upozorňuje se v ní na obecné jevy, které lze vysledovat v procesu mapování ze zdrojové oblasti teploty do cílové oblasti emocí, dále jsou na základě třídění jazykového materiálu ze sémantického okruhu teploty identifikovány konkrétní emoce jako cílové domény. V práci jsou charakterizovány odlišné role oblastí TEPLO, CHLAD, HORKO a OHEŇ a usiluje se o obhajobu tvrzení, že podstatou těchto odlišností je naše fyzická zkušenost.

This thesis is focused on a research of the source domain of temperature and related concepts. It is based on the approaches of American and Polish Cognitive Linguistics. The first part is regarded to the relationship between the concepts of WARMTH / COLD and other basic concepts. The crucial part of the thesis deals with temperature as the source domain in conceptualization of emotions, emotional states and human behaviour. This part includes the description of general phenomenon in the process of mapping from the source domain of temperature to the target domain of emotions. The next chapters are focused on the Czech expressions related to separate emotions which are viewed as the target domains. There are marked the source domains of WARMTH, COLD, HEAT and FIRE in the thesis. These source domains are considered to have different roles and the human corporealness is assumed to be the main reason for the differences.
