Komentovaný překlad: Irish emigration as banishment

Abstract

Cílem této bakalářské práce je přeložit kapitolu z knihy Immigrant Experiences: Personal Narrative and Psychological Analysis a provést překladatelskou analýzu tohoto překladu. Komentář k překladu je rozdělen do čtyř částí. První část je věnována překladatelské analýze zaměřené na vnětextové a vnitrotextové faktory výchozího textu. Druhá část obsahuje typologii překladatelských problémů na rovině gramatické, syntaktické, lexikální, stylistické a kulturní. Třetí část se zabývá posuny, ke kterým při překladu došlo, a předmětem čtvrté části je překladatelská metoda.

The aim of this thesis is to translate a chapter from the book Immigrant Experiences: Personal Narrative and Psychological Analysis and to carry out a translation analysis of this translation. The commentary on the translation is divided into four parts. The first part deals with the translation analysis focused on the extratextual and intratextual factors of the source text. The second part contains a typology of translation problems at the grammatical, syntactic, lexical, stylistic and cultural levels. The third part concentrates on the shifts that occurred in the translation and the forth part on the translation method used in the work.
