Ochrana hranic a vytváření vnějšího nepřítele v Československu v letech 1948-1956

Abstract

The topic of the graduation thesis is border protection and the generating of the image of the extraneous enemy in Czechoslovakia between the years 1948 and 1956. The thesis emphasizes the continuity of the system of border protection with the previous development. On this account the thesis makes a survey of the development of the system of border protection in Bohemia and Czechoslovakia. The thesis describes the development of establishment of border protection authorities, the instruments of border protection, then deals with the questions of so-called border zone and forbidden zone and describes some components of everyday life of the border guards in the fifties. Second part of the thesis deals with the questions of generating of the propaganda image of the border guard and the extraneous enemies, who the border guard fought against. This image made by communist propaganda affected the inhabitants significantly and upheld the system of border protection. It formed the opinions of the inhabitants about the frontier-guard and the extraneous enemies.

Diplomová práce se zabývá systémem ochrany hranic a utvářením obrazu ochránce hranic a obrazu vnějších nepřátel v komunistické propagandě mezi lety 1948-1956. V systému ochrany hranic je zdůrazněna jeho kontinuita s předchozím vývojem střežení státních hranic, proto je podán i celkový přehled vývoje systému ochrany a ostrahy hranice v českých zemích. Práce se věnuje organizačnímu vývoji orgánů ochrany hranice, nástrojům ostrahy hranice, problematice hraničního a zakázaného pásma i některým prvkům každodenního života pohraničníků v 50. letech 20. století. Druhá část práce se zabývá vytvářením propagandistického obrazu pohraničníka a vnějších nepřátel, proti kterým má bojovat. Tento obraz vytvořený komunistickou propagandou rovněž významně působil v systému ochrany hranice, utvářel pohled a názory obyvatel na střežení hranic, Pohraniční stráž a tzv. vnější nepřátele.
