Genderové aspekty rehabilitační péče lidí s tělesným postižením v Rehabilitačním ústavu Kladruby

Abstract

In diploma thesis I have focused on gender aspects of rehabilitation care of men and women with a physical "handicap" that was not inborn. Theoretical sources of the thesis were mainly concepts of the Feminist Disability Studies, whose point of view helped me to specify the terms "disablement" and "handicap" and to embed them into broader meaning of medicinal, social and cultural models, which I have subjected to critical reading. I was especially interested in intersectionality of gender and "disablement" and I introduced its possible implications. In the chapter called "Methodology" I determined my research position and ethical aspects linked to the topic of handicap; methodological procedures used in the thesis were also introduced in this chapter. After introducing Rehabilitation Center Kladruby and its function I went on describing the form and course of the rehabilitation care as well as concrete rehabilitation methods. The basis of the empirical part of the thesis were interviews with disabled men and women who repeatedly underwent physiotherapy in the Rehabilitation Center Kladruby. The analyses of the interviews were focused on gender aspects of perceiving the center as an institution, as well as on the way the role of gender projects to the rehabilitation care and the overall life with handicap.

V diplomové práci se věnuji genderovým aspektům rehabilitační péče žen a mužů s hendikepem, který je fyzického charakteru a k němuž došlo v průběhu jejich života. Teoretickými východisky práce jsou především koncepty Feminist Disability Studies, z jejichž pohledu specifikuji významy pojmů "postižení" a "hendikep" a zasazuji je do širších významových rovin medicínského, sociálního a kulturního modelu, na které zároveň nahlížím z kritické perspektivy. Zabývám se intersekcí genderu a "postižení" a představuji její možné implikace. V kapitole "Metodologie práce" vymezuji svou výzkumnou pozici a etické aspekty spojené s tématem hendikepu a zároveň v ní představuji metodologické postupy, jež byly v práci užity. Po představení Rehabilitačního ústavu Kladruby a jeho činnosti se věnuji podobě a průběhu rehabilitační péče a podobě konkrétních rehabilitačních metod. Základem empirické části diplomové práce byly rozhovory s ženami a muži s hendikepem opakovaně rehabilitovanými v Rehabilitačním ústavu Kladruby. Analýza rozhovorů je zaměřena na genderové aspekty vnímání ústavu jako instituce a na to, jak se role genderu promítá do rehabilitační péče i života s hendikepem.
