dc.description.abstractTato práce se zbývá zahraniční politikou Spojených států v posledním desetiletí 19. století. Hlavním záměrem bylo prostudovat zmínky o Latinské Americe v inauguračních projevech a zprávách o stavu Unie Grovera Clevelanda, Benjamina Harrisona a Williama McKinleyho. Jednotliví presidenti jsou představeni v profilech. Dále diplomová práce pojednává o diplomatických střetnutích Spojených států a zemí Latinské Ameriky, sleduje pronikání vlivu Spojených států do zemí Latinské Ameriky, dále pak vývoj expanzivní politiky Spojených států a postoj amerických prezidentů k tomuto vývoji. Nakonec práce popisuje průběh španělsko - americké války. klíčová slova: 80. a 90. léta 19. století, G. Cleveland, B. Harrison, W. McKinley, brazilská revolta 1893, Balmacedova revoluce 1891, aféra na Pobřeží Moskytů, arbitráž, španělsko - americká válka;cs_CZ
dc.description.abstractThe thesis deals with foreign relations of the United States in the fall of 19th century. The main goal was to study attitude American presidents (Grover Cleveland, Benjamin Harrison, William McKinley) to Latin America in their messages (inaugural addresses and State of the Union). The presidents were presented in profiles. The thesis reviewed diplomatic relations between the United States and Latin America, focuses on the influence of the United States on Latin American countries, the development of foreign policy the United States and attitude American presidents to the development.
