Research on Cenozoic fish fauna of the selected localities of the Czech Republic

Abstract

PALEOGENNÍ A NEOGENNÍ RYBÍ FAUNA VYBRANÝCH LOKALIT NA ÚZEMÍ ČESKÉ REPUBLIKY Předložená disertace představuje soubor komentářů k nálezům fosilních ryb a jejich paleoekologii na deseti vybraných lokalitách na území České Republiky. Výsledky byly podpořeny a doplněny také nálezy z dalších regionů. Rybí fauny byla studována z těchto paleontologických lokalit: Kelč, Rožnov pod Radhoštěm, Litenčice, Krumvíř, Vážany nad Litavou, Strachotín, Opava - Kateřinky, Kučlín u Bíliny, Byňov and Bechlejovice. Výsledky studia fauny na výše uvedených lokalitách lze shrnout takto: a) V rámci menilitového a ždánicko-hustopečského souvrství byly rozeznány a popsány přímé doklady potravních nároků u těchto taxonů: Scopeloides glarisianus, Anenchelum glarisianum, Lepidopus glarisianus, Trachinus minutus, Serranus budensis, Merluccius latus, Oligophus moravicus. b) V rámci menilitového a ždánicko-hustopečského souvrství byl zrekonstruován částečný trofický diagram rybího společenstva. V jeho celku lze rozlišit dvě společenstva. První trofické společenstvo (A) je složeno z druhů Scopeloides glarisianu, Anenchelum glarisianum, případně Lepidopus glarisianus, gadiformních ryb a také z bezobratlých členů, sloužících jako potrava. RESEARCH ON CENOZOIC FISH FAUNAE OF THE SELECTED LOCALITIES OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC The submitted PhD thesis is presented as a collection of commentaries of fish faunas and its paleoecology at 10 selected localities of Czech Republic. The results were supported by specimens also from other geographical regions. The fish faunae were studied on following localities: Kelč, Rožnov pod Radhoštěm, Litenčice, Krumvíř, Vážany nad Litavou, Strachotín, Opava - Kateřinky, Kučlín u Bíliny, Byňov and Bechlejovice. The summarized results: a) There were recognized direct evidences about feeding habits in following taxa from Menilitic and Ždánice-Hustopeče formations: Scopeloides glarisianus, Anenchelum glarisianum, Lepidopus glarisianus, Trachinus minutus, Serranus budensis, Merluccius latus, Oligophus moravicus. b) The partial trophic diagram has been constructed within Menilitic and Ždánice-Hustopeče formations (for the region of the Czech Republic). The first trophic assemblage (group A) is composed of species Scopeloides glarisianu, Anenchelum glarisianum, respectively Lepidopus glarisianus, gadiform fishes and invertebrate members.
