Hlavním cílem práce je srovnat obraz osvícenství, který tyto romány podávají, s ohledem na kulturu západní, respektive jižní Evropy a porovnat aspekty, které tyto dvě nizozemské autorky zdůrazňují.
The bachelor thesis analyses two Dutch historical novels from the 1990's Het oog van de engel by Nelleke Noordervliet and De virtuoos by Margriet de Moor. The aim of this thesis is to compare the image of the Enlightenment they provide, with regard to the Western or Southern European culture and to compare the aspects, that are highlighted.
