Existenciální hrdinové vybraných próz Vladimíra Körnera

Abstract

Diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou a interpretací vybraných děl Vladimíra Körnera - jde o prózy Střepiny v trávě, Údolí včel, Lékař umírajícího času a Anděl milosrdenství. Nejen samotný děj, ale především hrdinové těchto próz splňují kritéria kladená na hrdiny existenciální. Körnerovo dílo má společné téma, které prostupuje všemi jeho prózami - je to varování před válečnými hrůzami a fanatismem, jež zásadně a často nevratně mění životy všech lidí. Práce se snaží dokázat, že dílo Vladimíra Körnera vykazuje znaky literárního existenciálního proudu, ale vzhledem k využití námětů z české historie se řadí k tzv. nepravé historické próze s existenciálními hrdiny. Nejde tedy o historickou prózu v pravém slova smyslu, neboť hrdinové příběhů patří k existenciálnímu literárnímu směru, jak to dokládají jejich vlastnosti (jedinečnost, osamocenost, hledání smyslu života, vědomí zodpovědnosti za své činy).

The diploma work deals with the analysis and interpretation of selected works written by Vladimír Körner - it means the works of prose called Splinters in the Grass, The Valley of Bees and The Angel of Mercy. Not only the plot, but especially the characters of these proses meet the criteria set on existential characters. Körner's work includes a common theme which is noticeable in all his works of prose - it is a warning about the horrors of war and fanatism, which fundamentally and often irrefutably change the lives of everybody. The diploma work attempts to prove that Vladimír Körner's work has the hallmarks of literary existential stream. However, due to the fact that themes mostly related to the Czech history are used, it is considered to be an example of pseudo historical prose with existential characters. Therefore, it is not historical prose in the true sense of the word because the characters belong to existential literary stream as evident from their qualities (uniqueness, loneliness, looking for the meaning of life, the sense of responsibility for one's behaviour).
