This thesis focuses on the perception and coping with failure among university students in the context of tertiary education. The aim of the thesis is to analyse how students interpret their own failures in the academic environment, how they respond to them, and which coping and learning strategies they use to manage such situations. Particular emphasis is placed on the role of individual characteristics, especially the level of self-confidence and attitudes toward failure, within the process of adult learning. The theoretical part is based on concepts from the psychology of learning, stress coping theory, self-regulation, and resilience, and is further complemented by andragogical approaches to adult education. Failure is viewed not only as a negative experience but also as a potential part of the learning process that may influence an individual's further academic development. The empirical part of the thesis is conducted as a quantitative study using a questionnaire survey among university students. The research focuses on identifying relationships between selected variables, particularly the level of self-confidence, the intensity of reactions to failure, the use of coping strategies, and attitudes toward failure. It also examines differences between groups of respondents based on their...en_US
Teoretická část práce vychází z poznatků psychologie učení, teorie zvládání stresu, seberegulace a resilience a je doplněna o andragogické přístupy učení dospělých.
