| uk.abstract.en | Between 1968 and 1989, an estimated 200 000 people left Czechoslovakia. The present study is dedicated to female authors who emigrated for the German-speaking area and published there. It examines the various strategies these women chose to present their place in the world and in literature, as well as the literary devices they employed in their texts. Against the background of research on literary emigration and research on trauma and memory in literature, the study analyzes the work of Irena Brežná, Libuše Moníková, Markéta Brousková, Dana Horáková, Blanka Kubešová and Sheila Och. | cs |
