Petr Kadlec This thesis examines how generative artificial intelligence can enhance NATO information operations in the context of evolving cognitive warfare threats. The research employs a systematic literature review with applied analysis, mapping GenAI capabilities to NATO's eight core information operations functions. Through heuristic categorisation, the analysis identifies seven categories of GenAI capabilities: content generation, automation and optimization, contextual adaptation and intelligence, analysis and decision support, human mimicry and deception, amplification and coordination, and synthetic environment generation. The results demonstrate that GenAI offers comprehensive enhancement potential across all Info Ops functions, addressing fundamental limitations in human cognitive capacity and processing speed. However, the research also identifies significant technical challenges including AI hallucinations, embedded biases, and data quality dependencies. The analysis reveals that while adversaries leverage AI for cognitive attacks with minimal constraints, NATO can integrate GenAI within existing doctrinal frameworks while preserving democratic values and human oversight. The findings suggest that revolutionary technologies need not require revolutionary organisational changes, as...en_US
Prostřednictvím heuristické kategorizace analýza identifikuje sedm kategorií schopností GenAI: generování obsahu, automatizace a optimalizace, kontextuální adaptace a inteligence, analýza a podpora rozhodování, napodobování lidí a klamání, zesílení a koordinace a generování syntetického prostředí. Výsledky ukazují, že GenAI nabízí komplexní potenciál zlepšení napříč všemi funkcemi informačních operací, řešící fundamentální omezení lidské kognitivní kapacity a rychlosti zpracování.
