dc.description.abstract91 Abstract The thesis focuses on the importance and use of strategic activation methods in field social work with seniors, specifically in the city of Sušice. The aim of the research was to determine how activation activities are perceived by the clients themselves and what factors influence their participation and motivation. Qualitative research was conducted through semi-structured interviews with five gerontological clients and three field social workers. The results of the research show that activation is perceived by clients as an important tool for improving their mental and social state, with the worker's individual approach, awareness and level of trust playing a key role. The work further identifies the main barriers to engagement, such as social isolation, low self-confidence and insufficient information about service options. Based on the data obtained, the validity of the professional literature (Krpálek, Doležal, Matoušek) was verified and a new pilot activation program suitable for regional conditions was proposed. The results provide specific recommendations for practice, development of community ties and streamlining of fieldwork methodologies with seniors.en_US
