The thesis examines two Late Antique Latin poems and their relationship to the bucolic tradition, especially to Vergil's Eclogues. Pomponius' Versus ad gratiam Domini and Endelechius' De mortibus boum are studied as exemplary cases of two different approaches to the Christian reception of Vergil at the turn of the 4th and 5th centuries. The study traces the generic characteristics of bucolic poetry and its reinterpretation within cento poetry. Based on an analysis of compositional and stylistic devices, it seeks to gain a deeper understanding of this branch of the literary context of Late Antiquity.en_US
Studie sleduje žánrové charakteristiky bukolické poezie a její reinterpretaci v rámci centonové poezie. Na základě analýzy kompozičních a stylistických prostředků se snaží hlouběji porozumět tomuto odvětví literárního kontexu pozdní antiky.cs_CZ
