| dc.description.abstract | The thesis focuses on the modelling of water evaporation from porous materials. After a concise review of the approaches to quantification of the evaporation from rocks, the thesis presents a model of evaporation front motion, which is subsequently applied to calculate the evaporation rate from a sandstone sample. A problem with ordinary differential equation, which governs front's movement in the given material, is de- scribed thoroughly, not excluding the material characterisation of the computational domain and providing initial and boundary conditions.
