Partnership and Gender Relations in Czech Society The aim of this thesis is to investigate partnership cohabitation, more generally partnership in Czech society with a special focus on educational homogamy and heterogamy in the light of the changing educational structure of young generations. At the same time, due to low fertility in the Czech Republic, attention is paid to reproductive plans of educationally homogamous and heterogamous couples. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis is devoted to defining the main concepts, changes in the educational structure and reproductive plans. The analytical part uses contingency table analysis and a binary logistic regression to examine the number of wanted children in childless partnerships. The key variable includes the educational mix of the partnerships, meaning whether they are homogamous or heterogamous. The analysis is controlled by selected variables, including the type of partnership, education of the respondent, age of the respondent and gender of the respondent. The analysis is conducted using data from the GGS sample survey for the Czech Republic. The results show that educational homogamy and heterogamy can play an important role in the number of wanted children, thus this factor can help to understand reproductive behaviour.en_US
Analytická část pomocí analýzy kontingenčních tabulek a binární logistické regrese zkoumá počet chtěných dětí v bezdětných partnerstvích.
