Technological companies, through the expansion of their political, economic, and technological power, have become actors in international relations and global security at a level comparable to that of state actors. The entry of tech firms as independent players in the Ukrainian conflict has confirmed this trend. This thesis analyzes how contemporary theory perceives the role of technological companies and, through case studies, examines the activities of Microsoft Corporation and Palantir Technologies in the Ukrainian conflict from 2022 to 2024 in light of this theoretical framework. The conduct of both firms, consistent with theoretical insights, confirms that technological companies are assuming certain functions traditionally performed by states. Both companies have thus acted as autonomous actors in international security, and the role of state actors in international conflicts is correspondingly diminishing in favor of the growing influence of technological companies.en_US
