Sourozenci dětí s autismem: potřeby, výzvy a možnosti podpory

Abstract

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the experiences of neurotypical siblings of children with autism spectrum disorder. The aim of the study is to understand their needs, the challenges they face, and the forms of support that could be beneficial for them. The theoretical part addresses the characteristics of autism, it's impact on the family system, and the specific needs of siblings. The empirical part is based on qualitative research conducted through eight semi- structured interviews with children and adolescents aged 10 to 18. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings show that siblings often experience emotional strain, seek understanding, support, and peaceful time spent with the family, while simultaneously demonstrating a high degree of empathy toward both their sibling and their parents, along with a strong sense of responsibility. The thesis highlights the importance of greater systemic support, validation of their role, and holistic family support.

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na problematiku neurotypických sourozenců dětí s poruchou autistického spektra. Cílem práce je porozumět jejich potřebám, výzvám, kterým čelí, a formám podpory, které by pro ně mohly být přínosné. Teoretická část se věnuje charakteristice autismu, dopadům na rodinný systém a specifickým potřebám sourozenců. Empirická část vychází z kvalitativního výzkumu, který byl realizován prostřednictvím osmi polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s dětmi a dospívajícími ve věku 10-18 let. Data byla zpracována pomocí tematické analýzy. Výsledky ukazují, že sourozenci často zažívají emoční zátěž, potřebují porozumění, oporu a klidný čas strávený s rodinou, ale zároveň vykazují vysokou míru empatie vůči svému sourozenci i rodičům a zažívají pocity odpovědnosti. Práce poukazuje na důležitost větší systémové podpory, validaci jejich role a podporu celé rodiny.
