Legal regulation of wastewater disposal Abstract The thesis focuses on the legal regulation of wastewater as one of the main sources of pollutionand threats towater quality.The subject of the thesis is an analysis of national legislation with a focus on the definition of the term wastewater, its management and legal ways of its disposal. An essential part of the work is the background of international legislation and in particular the requirements of EU legislation, which have a major impact on the national legal frameworkin the fieldof wastewater and which have undergone significant changes in connection with the recent adoptionof the new Directive on urban wastewater treatment.The structure of the thesis follows a systematic transitionfrom a general concept of water protectiontoa more detailed regulationof wastewater - first at international and EU level and then at national level. Scientific methods of analysis, synthesis, deduction and specification were used in the elaboration of the topic. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the current domestic legislationon wastewater in terms of its sufficiency and effectiveness. Právní úprava zneškodňování odpadních vod Abstrakt Diplomová práce se zabývá právní úpravou odpadníchvod jakožto jednoho z hlavních zdrojůznečištění a ohrožení jakosti vod.Předmětem práce je analýza vnitrostátní právní úpravy se zaměřením na vymezení pojmu odpadních vod, nakládání s nimi a zákonné způsoby jejich zneškodňování. Nezbytnou součástí práce tvoří východiska mezinárodní právní úpravy a zejména požadavky unijní legislativy,které mají na národní právní rámec v oblasti odpadních vod zásadní vliv, a které doznaly podstatných změn v souvislosti s nedávným přijetím nové směrnice o čištění městských odpadních vod. Struktura diplomová práce sleduje systematický přechod od obecného pojetí ochrany vod k podrobnější právní úpravě odpadních vod - nejprve na mezinárodní a unijní úrovni a následně na národní úrovni. Při zpracování tématu byly využity vědecké metody analýzy, syntézy, dedukce a specifikace. Cílem práce je zhodnotit současnou tuzemskou právní úpravu týkající se odpadních vod z hlediska její dostatečnosti a efektivity. Tato práce je členěna do tří kapitol.
