"Arler - Parler - Parléř". Osobnost Petra Parléře ve středoevropském uměleckohistorickém diskurzu

Abstract

Diplomová práce Arler - Parler - Parléř se z historiografického hlediska zaměřuje na postavu Petra Parléře a klade si za cíl vysledovat, jakým způsobem tato umělecká osobnost figurovala v rámci bádání od patnáctého do devatenáctého století. Zvolený časový rámec odpovídá na jedné straně momentu, kdy se osobnost Petra Parléře vytratila z kulturní paměti, a na druhé straně okamžiku, kdy do ní byla plně navrácena. Postupný proces prohlubujícího se poznání Parléřova díla i jeho osobní identity je představen na základě teoretického modelu vycházejícího z kulturně paměťových studií. První část práce představuje středověké doklady zejména textového charakteru, které byly podkladem ke konstruování představ o Petru Parléřovi. Tyto dokumenty jsou nahlíženy paměťovou perspektivou jako takzvané nosiče paměti. V druhé části je chronologicky popsáno postupné vyváření umělecké osobnosti Petra Parléře. Výklad je organizovaný na principu sledování proměn jmen, pod kterými byl Petr v průběhu zkoumaného období znám, a končí v etapě, kdy bádání dospělo k finální podobě jeho jména a současně jej plně etablovalo do kánonu dějin umění. The thesis named Arler - Parler - Parléř analyses the figure of Peter Parler from a historiographical point of view. Its aim is to trace how his artistic personality was conceived of in the research during the period between the fifteenth to the nineteenth century. The chosen time frame corresponds on the one side to the moment when the figure of Peter Parler disappeared from cultural memory and on the other side when it was fully reestablished in it. The gradual process of expanding knowledge about Parler's work and identity is presented on the basis of a theoretical model informed by cultural memory studies. The first part of the thesis presents medieval documents, mainly textual, which later formed the foundations on which conceptions about Peter Parler were constructed. These documents are viewed from a cultural memory perspective as so-called memory carriers. The second part of the thesis describes the gradual formation of the artistic personality of Peter Parler as it happened in time. The text is structured according to the changes of the names by which Peter was known during the period under study.
