Dokumentární fotografie: Sikhská komunita v Evropě

Abstract

Bakalářská práce se skládá ze dvou částí, teoretické a praktické. Hlavním cílem praktické části je zachytit evropskou komunitu jednoho z nejmladších světových náboženství, sikhismu. Teoretická část popisuje okolnosti vzniku této víry a její diaspory. Dále poskytuje několik definic pro dokumentární fotografii a vysvětluje výzvy, se kterými se v současnosti tento žánr potýká. Ukazuje také specifika náboženství jako tématu fotografie a srovnává práci tří českých autorů, kteří se jím zabývají.

The bachelor thesis consists of two parts: theoretical and practical. The main goal of the practical part is to capture the European community of one of the world's youngest religions, Sikhism. The theoretical part describes the circumstances of the emergence of this faith and its diaspora. It also provides several definitions of documentary photography and explains the challenges this genre currently faces. Furthermore, it highlights the specifics of religion as a subject of photography and compares the work of three Czech authors who focus on this topic.
