Práce identifikuje klíčové motivační faktory včetně sociálního tlaku vrstevnické skupiny, fenoménu FOMO (fear of missing out) a akcelerace herní progrese. Práce současně artikuluje rizikové faktory související s nedostatečnou úrovní finanční gramotnosti a absencí adekvátní rodičovské supervize....
This thesis examines the phenomenon of microtransactions in digital games with a focus on children and adolescent populations. The aim is to provide a comprehensive overview of the issue, introduce the reader to key concepts related to gaming and microtransactions, examine the various types of microtransactions found in digital games, and clarify the impact of these elements on player behavior, with particular emphasis on the issue of loot boxes and their structural similarity to gambling mechanisms. The theoretical framework incorporates a comparative analysis of regulatory approaches implemented across selected jurisdictions (Belgium, Netherlands, China, Australia, and others). The practical part presents the results of a quantitative research survey conducted on a sample of 169 primary school pupils in Prague, focusing on their interaction with digital games and their experiences with microtransactions. Research data reveal that 65.68% of respondents have experience with microtransactions, while 21.30% demonstrate regular monthly financial expenditure in gaming environments. The thesis identifies key motivational factors, including peer group social pressure, the phenomenon of FOMO (fear of missing out), and the acceleration of game progression. Additionally, the work articulates risk factors...
