Volby a islamistické strany

Abstract

Diploma thesis entitled "Elections and Islamist Parties" analyzes issues concerning electoral and democratization processes in Islamic countries. The work describes history, origins, evolution and viability of electoral and political systems in the Turkish Republic and in the Egyptian Arabic Republic - both regarded as regional powers - in the light of their electoral processes as Islamic political parties in both countries show clear fundamentalist tendencies. Both countries, however, enjoy stability guaranteed by dictatorship or strong position of the military. Especially in historical context, it is evident that electoral procedures based on Western criteria aren't suitable. Diplomová práce "Volby a islamistické strany" pojednává o problematice volebního procesu a procesu demokratizace v islámských zemích. Popisuje historii, vznik, vývoj, funkčnost, volební a stranický systém Turecké a Egyptské arabské republiky, které lze považovat za regionální mocnosti, ve spojitosti s problematikou volebního procesu, kde jsou zjevné fundamentalistické tendence islamistických stran. V rámci těchto zemí však nalézáme stabilitu, kterou zaručuje právě diktatura nebo silná pozice armády. Zvláště ve spojitosti s historickým ponaučením je evidentní, že procedura voleb podle západních měřítek není vhodná. Tato práce analyzuje možnosti volebních systémů aplikovatelných v těchto zemích.
