Typologie postav v románovém díle Šukrího Mabchúta

Abstract

Diplomová práce se zabývá literárními postavami románů aṭ-Ṭuljānī (2014) a Mirʾāt al-chāsir (2019) současného tuniského spisovatele Šukrīho al-Mabchūta. Jejím cílem je navržení typologie literárních postav těchto dvou děl tvořících společný fiktivní svět. Kromě rozboru vybraných románových děl a jejich literárních postav se práce věnuje také zasazení obou děl do kontextu arabsky psaného tuniského románu a uvedení jejich románových událostí do politicko-historického kontextu Tuniska ve druhé polovině 20. století. Pro typologizaci literárních postav al-Mabchūtových románových děl byla zvolena metoda sociálně-kontextové analýzy vybraných románů a rozboru psychosociálních, kulturních a historických rysů jejich literárních postav. Výsledná typologizace, kromě odhalení odlišností mezi postavami pocházejícími z různých typů prostředí, přichází s rozdělením postav do literárních typů na základě postavení v hierarchické společnosti a způsobu vyrovnávání se s nesvobodným tuniským prostředím. Práce svým návrhem způsobu vnímání těchto postav přispívá k lepšímu pochopení románového zpracování změn odehrávajících se v tuniské společnosti druhé poloviny 20. století.

This thesis examines the literary characters in the novels aṭ-Ṭuljānī (2014) and Mirʾāt al-khāsir (2019) by contemporary Tunisian writer Shukrī al-Mabkhūt. Its aim is to propose a typology of literary characters of these two novels that create a shared fictional world. In addition to analysing the selected novels and their literary characters, the thesis also contextualizes these works within the tradition of Arabic-language Tunisian novels and situates their events within the political and historical context of Tunisia in the second half of the 20th century. To typologize the literary characters of al-Mabkhūt's novels, the method of social-contextual analysis of the selected novels and the analysis of the psychosocial, cultural and historical features of their literary characters were chosen. The resulting typologization, in addition to revealing the differences between characters coming from different types of backgrounds, comes with the division of characters into literary types based on their position in hierarchical society and their way of coping with the unfree Tunisian environment. By proposing a way of perceiving these characters, the thesis contributes to a better comprehension of the literary depiction of changes occurring in Tunisian society in the second half of the 20th century.
