Faktory ohrožení motivace k profesi pedagoga u začínajících učitelů základních a středních škol

Abstract

The topic of the thesis is the identification of factors undermining the motivation to teach of novice teachers with a focus on primary and secondary school teachers. The aim of the thesis is to identify the factors undermining the motivation of inexperienced teachers that may result in their diversion from the teaching. The thesis examines selected aspects of teaching that may affect the motivation of novice teachers to pursue the teaching profession. Namely, the high average age of teachers, the high feminisation of the school system, low financial remuneration and the prestige of teachers. Subsequently, the thesis focuses on previously conducted surveys and researches that focused on the motivation of teachers and university students to pursue the teaching profession. Then, the topic of teachers in Italy, Austria and Finland, their job satisfaction and comparison with Czech teachers is elaborated. The quantitative survey is carried out by means of a questionnaire, which is aimed at Prague primary school teachers with up to 5 years of teaching experience. The aim of the survey is to find out whether the work motivation of these teachers is low and what are the reasons for this demotivation.

Tématem diplomové práce je identifikace faktorů ohrožující motivaci k profesi pedagoga začínajících učitelů a zaměřuje se na učitele základních a středních škol. Cílem práce je identifikovat faktory ohrožení motivace začínajících pedagogů, které mohou mít za následek jejich odklon od učitelství. Práce se zabývá vybranými aspekty učitelství, které mohou ovlivňovat motivaci začínajících učitelů k vykonávání profese pedagoga. Jmenovitě se jedná o vysoký průměrný věk učitelů, vysokou feminizaci školství, nízké finanční ohodnocení a prestiž učitelů. Následně se práce zaměřuje na již realizovaná šetření a výzkumy, které se soustředily na motivaci učitelů a studentů vysokých škol k výkonu pedagogické profese. Poté je rozpracováno téma učitelů v Itálii, Rakousku a Finsku, jejich pracovní spokojenost a provedena komparace s českými učiteli. Kvantitativní šetření je realizováno dotazníkem, který je zaměřen na pražské učitele 2. stupně základních škol, kteří mají pedagogickou praxi do 5 let. Cílem šetření je zjistit, zda je pracovní motivace těchto učitelů nízká a jaké jsou příčiny této demotivace.
