Prožívání rodičovství v zemích globálního Jihu: Exploratorní výzkum každodenních zkušeností

Abstract

The thesis examines the everyday experiencing of parenthood in the context of Global South. The aim of this study is to explore the practices and experiences of specific parents and to find out which factors have impact on the differences between them in a certain space. Among others, the study is inspired by perspectives of everyday geography and feminist geographies, and it aspires to reflect on the inequalities via examined topics. There are four main topics studied in this research: division of childcare, child feeding, changing children' diapers and mobility of parents with children. Trough examining them the paper tries to highlight role of the space. The study focuses on parents of newborns and toddlers, i. e. the first three years of parenthood. The data collection was done by conducting semi-structured interviews with 23 parents in total with experiences with parenthood from 15 different African, Asian and Latin-American countries. The study has an exploratory character and follows the methodological principles of the Grounded theory. Diplomová práce se zabývá každodenním prožíváním rodičovství v kontextu zemí globálního Jihu. Cílem studie je poukázat na praktiky a zkušenosti konkrétních rodičů a zjistit, jaké faktory mají v daném prostoru vliv na vzájemné rozdílnosti. Práce je mimo jiné inspirována perspektivami geografie každodennosti a feministické geografie a snaží se reflektovat nerovnosti vzhledem ke zkoumaným tématům. Fenomén prožívání rodičovství je zkoumán skrze čtyři témata: dělba péče o děti, krmení dětí, přebalování dětí a mobilita rodiči s dětmi a v rámci jejich diskuze akcentuje roli prostoru. Výzkum je zaměřen na rodiče kojenců a batolat, tedy na první tři roky rodičovství. Sběr dat byl proveden skrze polostrukturované rozhovory dohromady s 23 rodiči se zkušenostmi s rodičovstvím v podmínkách celkem 15 asijských, afrických a latinskoamerických zemí. Studie má explorativní charakter a analyticky sleduje metodologické principy zakotvené teorie. Vzájemným porovnáváním poznatků vyplývajících z rozhovorů a také srovnáním s kontextem "rozvinutých" zemí (vztaženo zejména k Česku) jsou odhalovány faktory ovlivňující prožívání rodičovství v kontextu globálního Jihu a poukazuje na některé faktory, které jsou pro region globálního Jihu specifické.
