Znaky pro gender a sexuální orientaci v českém znakovém jazyce

Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with the ways of expressing signs in the field of gender, identity and sexual orientation. The thesis aims at mapping how native speakers of Czech sign language naturally express selected terms related to gender and sexual orientation and what strategies they choose when a given term is on the periphery of their sign vocabulary, when it has no established sign or when it has more of them. The material for the research part is a series of lectures on the lives of queer people with disabilities that took place in November 2022 at the Prague Pride Community Centre, two of which were dedicated to the Deaf community. Additional research material includes semi- structured interviews with members of the LGBTQIA+ community who are also native speakers of Czech sign language. The advantage of the second part of the research is the specificity of the terms for which the thesis investigates how they are expressed in Czech Sign Language. Bakalářská práce Znaky pro gender a sexuální orientaci v ČZJ se zabývá způsoby vyjádření znaků z oblasti genderu, identity a sexuální orientace. Práce si klade za cíl zmapovat, jak rodilí mluvčí českého znakového jazyka přirozeně vyjadřují vybrané termíny spojené s genderem a sexuální orientací, a zjistit, jaké vyjadřovací strategie volí, pokud je daný termín na periferii jejich znakové zásoby, pokud nemá ustálený znak či pokud jich má naopak více. Materiálem pro výzkumnou část je série přednášek o životě queer lidí se zdravotním postižením, která proběhla v listopadu roku 2022 v komunitním centru Prague Pride a jejíž dvě přednášky byly věnovány právě komunitě Neslyšících. Doplňkovým výzkumným materiálem jsou polostrukturované rozhovory s členy LGBTQIA+ komunity, kteří jsou zároveň rodilými mluvčími českého znakového jazyka. Výhodou druhé části výzkumu je konkrétnost termínů, u nichž práce zjišťuje, jak jsou v českém znakovém jazyce vyjadřovány. Klíčová slova: znakový jazyk, identita, sexuální orientace, LGBTQIA+, gender
