Když text promlouvá: oralita v literárním díle Juana Rulfa

Abstract

This thesis focuses on the influence and presence of orality in the books Llano in Flames and Pedro Páramo by the Mexican author Juan Rulfo. The influence is sought in the narrative structure of Rulfo's books and in the language of the characters he created. In addition, it focuses on the importance of noticing the sounds that permeate the books. The sounds are depicted in such a way that the text gives the reader the feeling that they are actually listening to them. The aim of this thesis is to subject the short stories and the novel to literary analyses and to observe how the author works with sounds at the level of language, but also in individual "sound" motifs. The thesis is divided into two imaginative parts; the first offers both an insight into the author's life and returns to the very beginnings of narrative, to the world of primarily oral cultures, while the second part consists of two separate analyses of Rulfo's books. In the case of the short stories, the primary focus is on the language and narrative discourse of the stories, since it is the language of the characters that is most strongly influenced by the oral tradition. Tato práce se zaměřuje na vliv a přítomnost orality v knihách Llano v plamenech a Pedro Páramo od mexického autora Juana Rulfa. Vliv je hledán ve vypravěčské struktuře Rulfova díla a v jazyku postav, které vytvořil. Kromě toho se soustředí na to, jak důležité je všímat si zvuků, které knihami prostupují. Zvuky jsou líčeny způsobem, aby text ve čtenáři navodil pocit, že jim skutečně naslouchá. Cílem práce je podrobit povídky a román literárním analýzám a pozorovat, jak autor pracuje se zvuky na úrovni jazyka, ale i v jednotlivých "zvukových" motivech. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části; první z nich nabízí jednak vhled do autorova života, jednak se navrací k samým začátkům vyprávění, do světa primárně orálních kultur, druhá část sestává z dvou samostatných analýz Rulfových knih. V případě povídkové sbírky je zkoumán primárně jazyk a narativní diskurz povídek, neboť právě řeč postav je ústní tradicí nejvýrazněji ovlivněna.
