Nedoslýchavost a období adolescence

Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with the impact of hearing loss on the lives of individuals with hearing disabilities during adolescence. The theoretical part of the text defines the concept of adolescence, the influence of hearing impairment on personality development, as well as information about the auditory systém and compensatory aids. The thesis the focuses on issues related to areas that are crucial during adolescence, namely education and preparation for future careers. The chapter on education for individuals with hearing impairments focuses on communication approaches and the inclusion process in schools in the Czech Republic. This chapter is followed by a section on tertiary education, which is part of the chapter about preparing for future careers. The aim of the thesis is to provide insight into life of individuals with hearing impairments, with an emphasis on the aforementioned problematic areas that need improvement. The practical part of the thesis includes an analysis of four interviews with three girls and one boy diagnosed with hearing loss. Bakalářská práce se zabývá vlivem nedoslýchavosti na život osob se sluchovým postižením v období adolescence. Teoretická část textu se věnuje vymezení pojmu adolescence, vlivu sluchového postižení na vývoj osobnosti a dále obsahuje informace o sluchovém ústrojí a kompenzačních pomůckách. Následně se zaměřuje na problematiku týkající se oblastí, které jsou pro období adolescence stěžejní. Jedná se o oblast vzdělávání a příprava na budoucí povolání. Kapitola o vzdělávání osob se sluchovým postižením svou pozornost zaměřuje na komunikační přístupy a na proces inkluze ve školách v České republice. Na tuto kapitolu navazuje text o možnostech terciárního vzdělávání, což je součástí kapitoly o přípravě na budoucí povolání. Cílem práce je přiblížení čtenářům život osoby se sluchovým postižením s důrazem na zmíněné problematické oblasti, které je třeba zlepšovat. Praktická část obsahuje analýzu čtyř provedených rozhovorů, kterých se zúčastnili tři děvčata a jeden chlapec s diagnostikovanou nedoslýchavostí. Výzkum byl primárně zaměřen na výše zmíněné oblasti (vzdělávání a výběr budoucí profese) a na subjektivní efektivitu kompenzačních pomůcek.
