iv Abstract Author: Adam Viktora Supervisor: PhDr. Lenka Žáková, Ph.D. Title of the thesis: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient after Total Knee Replacement Objectives: The goal of this thesis is to gather and understand the theoretical knowledge of the knee joint, osteoarthritis, total knee replacement surgery and its rehabilitation, and then evaluate the therapeutic sessions that were applied. Clinical findings: This study evaluated the condition of a 73-year-old patient after total knee replacement of the right knee. The examination showed a reduced range of motion, reduced mobility of joints, muscle imbalances and differences in conditions of soft tissues. Methods: All methods used for this study were based on the knowledge learned and the literature provided by the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, Charles University. Results: Following the eight therapeutic sessions, the patient had progressed well overall. Progress was seen in terms of pain, range of motion, muscle imbalances and condition of soft tissues. Conclusion: The therapies applied were effective and valuable in this specific diagnosis of the patient. v Abstrakt Autor: Adam Viktora Vedouci práce: PhDr. Lenka Žáková, Ph.D. Název práce: Kazuistika fyzioterapeutické léčby pacienta po totální endoprotéze kolenního kloubu. Cíle práce: Cílem této práce je shromáždit a pochopit teoretické poznatky o kolenním kloubu, osteoartróze, operaci totální endoprotézy kolenního kloubu a její rehabilitaci a následně zhodnotit aplikované terapeutické postupy. Klinické poznatky: Tato studie hodnotila stav 73letého pacienta po totální náhradě pravého kolenního kloubu. Vyšetření prokázalo snížený rozsah pohybu, sníženou pohyblivost kloubů, svalovou nerovnováhu a rozdíly v podmínkách měkkých tkání. Metody: Všechny metody použité v této studii vycházely z osvojených poznatků a literatury poskytnuté Fakultou Tělesné Výchovy a Sportu Univerzity Karlovy. Výsledky: Po osmi terapeutických sezeních došlo u pacienta k celkově dobrému pokroku. Pokrok byl zaznamenán v oblasti bolesti, rozsahu pohybu, svalových dysbalancí a stavu měkkých tkání. Závěr: Aplikované terapie byly účinné a cenné u této specifické diagnózy pacienta.
