Volba učitelské profese očima učitelů

Abstract

As the title suggests, this bachelor's thesis is devoted to the choice of a teaching profession. It aims to find out why people decide to become teachers, what leads them to this decision and whether they regret their decision. Three research questions are set out and answers are sought through a research investigation. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part attempts to give the reader an insight into the issue and describes the starting points that are crucial for the practical part. The practical part is devoted to the research investigation. A qualitative approach was chosen, specifically the in-depth interview method. A total of six interviews were conducted with current teachers. Based on the data obtained from the interviews, the research questions were answered. The results of the research investigation are quite clear. Teachers do not perceive their profession as prestigious. They see room for improvement mainly in financial evaluation and the view of the public. Despite the perception that their profession is not prestigious, teachers are satisfied with their career. Jak již napovídá název, tato bakalářská práce se věnuje volbě učitelské profese. Klade si za cíl zjistit, proč se lidé rozhodnou stát učiteli, co je k tomuto rozhodnutí vede a zda svého rozhodnutí litují. Jsou stanoveny tři výzkumné otázky, na něž je prostřednictvím výzkumného šetření hledána odpověď. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část se snaží čtenáři poskytnout vhled do dané problematiky a popisuje východiska, která jsou stěžejní pro část praktickou. Praktická část se věnuje výzkumnému šetření. Byl zvolen kvalitativní přístup, konkrétně metoda hloubkového rozhovoru. Rozhovorů se stávajícími učiteli/učitelkami bylo provedeno celkem šest. Na základě dat získaných z rozhovorů byly zodpovězeny výzkumné otázky. Z výzkumného šetření vychází poměrně jasné výsledky. Učitelé svou profesi nevnímají jako prestižní. Prostor ke zlepšení vidí převážně ve finančním ohodnocení a pohledu veřejnosti. I přes pocit neprestižnosti vlastní profese jsou učitelé se svou kariérou spokojení. Na své profesi oceňují především kontakt s lidmi/dětmi, jenž uvádí jako nejvýznamnější motiv, který je k učitelství přivedl. Pro polovinu respondentů byla učitelská profese dokonce profesí vysněnou.
