Abstract

Energy strategy is one of the pillars of Turkish international policy. The Turkish state seeks to strengthen its global position through the development of this key sector. However, the energy potential of the region is complicated by a number of factors, partially related to the unstable security situation in the region. One of Turkey's long-term goals is to limit the influence of the Kurdistan Workers' Party in the region. The purpose of this work is to analyze the effects of Turkey's smart power projection in the context of the activities of the separatist militant organization of the Kurdistan Workers' Party in energy and security field. Through various foreign policy steps, Turkey is trying to strengthen regional ties, which will enable the fulfillment of the country's strategic goals. Through the projection of smart power, Turkey seeks to connect economic interests with the projection of hard power, targeting the destabilizing activities of the PKK on the territory of a neighboring state. Energetika je jedním ze strategických pilířů turecké mezinárodní politiky. Turecký stát usiluje o posílení globální pozice také prostřednictvím rozvoje tohoto klíčového odvětví. Energetický potenciál regionu je ale komplikován řadou faktorů, souvisejících také s nestabilní bezpečnostní situací v regionu. Jedním z dlouhodobých záměrů Turecka je omezení vlivu Kurdské strany pracujících v rámci regionu. Záměrem této práce je analýza vlivů projekce chytré moci Turecka v kontextu působení separatistické militantní organizace Kurdské strany pracujících v energetické a bezpečnostní oblasti. Turecko se prostřednictvím různorodých zahraničněpolitických kroků pokouší o posilování regionálních vazeb, které umožní naplnění strategických záměrů země.
