Napoleon v reflexi české literatury na počátku 20. století

Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to acquaint the reader with Czech literature dealing with the person of Napoleon Bonaparte from the beginning of the 19th century to the first third of the 20th century. Furthermore, to objectively capture and try to explain the main views of the authors, which were reflected in their literary works. The thesis deals with the reflection of the person of Napoleon Bonaparte in Czech literature and is shaped to outline the development of the reflection of the French emperor from the beginning of the 19th century to the first third of the 20th century. The gradual chronological synthesis emphasizes key authors and their breakthrough literary works. Selected authors active at the beginning of the last century, namely Jan Miloslav Kryštůfek, Josef Svatopluk Machar and František Josef Čečetka, are subjected to key reflection. The analysis of the works with Napoleonic themes by the selected authors is complemented by the historical context of the time and the introduction of other authors who dealt with the same topic. At the beginning of the thesis, the possibilities of approaching a literary work as a source are presented. Cílem této práce je seznámit čtenáře s českou literaturou zabývající se osobou Napoleona Bonaparta od počátku 19. století až po první třetinu 20 století. Dále objektivně vystihnout a pokusit se vysvětlit hlavní názory autorů, které se projevily v jejich literárních dílech. Práce se zabývá reflexí osoby Napoleona Bonaparta v české literatuře a je formována tak, aby nastínila vývoj reflexe francouzského císaře od počátku 19. století až po první třetinu 20. století. Postupná chronologická syntéza klade důraz na stěžejní autory a jejich zlomová literární díla. Klíčové reflexi jsou podrobeni vybraní autoři působící na počátku minulého století, jmenovitě Jan Miloslav Kryštůfek, Josef Svatopluk Machar a František Josef Čečetka. Analýza děl s napoleonskou tématikou u vybraných autorů je doplněna o historický kontext doby a představení dalších autorů, kteří se totožným tématem zabývali. Na úvod práce jsou představeny možnosti přístupu k literárnímu dílu jako k pramenu. Tato kapitola je rozšířena o analýzu eseje Liona Feuchtwangera, zabývající se vztahem mezi historickou beletrií a historií. Na úvodní část navazuje stručný životopis Napoleona Bonaparta. Následně jsou představeny první literární zmínky o Bonapartovi v pramenech osobní povahy, kronikách apod. Rokem 1815 začíná analýza a představení děl...
