Das Motiv der Verwandlung im Werk von Franz Kafka und Thomas Brussig

Abstract

This presented bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of two works with the motif of metamorphosis, Franz Kafka's short story Die Verwandlung (1915) and Thomas Brussig's novel Die Verwandelten (2020). The motif of metamorphosis has always fascinated artists and it appears in new works and thus enters the general consciousness. In the introductory section, the general theme of the motif of metamorphosis in literature and the division of metamorphosis is presented. The second part is devoted to an in-depth analysis of the works Die Verwandlung and Die Verwandelten. The metamorphosis of characters, the development of family relationships and communication are stressed the most. The third part is devoted to the question of the similarity of the works, since the novel by Thomas Brussig is undoubtedly based on Franz Kafka's short story (similar titles, division into 3 parts, the transformation of people into animals with the ability to think and communicate). The differences that exist between the works stem from the different times in which the works they were written. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá srovnáním dvou děl s motivem proměny, povídkou Franze Kafky Die Verwandlung (1915) a románem Thomasse Brussiga Die Verwandelten (2020). Motiv proměny umělce odjakživa fascinoval, objevuje se ve stále nových dílech a vstupuje tak do obecného povědomí. V úvodní části je obecně popsána problematika motivu proměny v literatuře a je uvedeno dělení proměn. Druhá část je věnovaná hloubkové analýze děl Die Verwandlung a Die Verwandelten. Hlavní důraz je zde kladen na proměnu postav, vývoj vztahů v rodině a komunikaci. Třetí část se věnuje otázce podobnosti děl, neboť román Thomasse Brussiga nepochybně vychází z povídky Franze Kafky (podobné názvy, dělení na 3 části, proměna lidí ve zvířata s možností myslet a komunikovat).
