Vliv kariérního poradenství na nové profesní uplatnění profesionálních sportovců po ukončení sportovní kariéry

Abstract

The aim of the bachelor thesis will be to find out how career counselling affects the career transition of professional athletes after the end of their sport career and whether this tool can be considered an effective form of assistance in finding a new career. For the purpose of the bachelor thesis, the criteria of a professional athlete will first be defined. Next, attention will be paid to related topics such as career counselling, career transition and sport career. Then, the course of a sporting career, the process of ending a sporting career and the reasons for ending a sporting career will be outlined, as well as the factors that influence the process of ending a sporting career. Career counselling programmes and tools that can facilitate career transition for athletes will also be presented. Furthermore, the possibilities for a professional athlete to enter working life after the end of an active sporting career will be discussed. The qualitative empirical investigation will be carried out using the method of semi-structured interviews. Ten active and former elite athletes who have used some form of career counselling or services of the Dual Career Programme during or at the end of their sport career will participate in the interviews. Cílem bakalářské práce bude zjistit, jak kariérní poradenství ovlivňuje průběh kariérního přechodu profesionálních sportovců po ukončení sportovní kariéry a zda lze tento nástroj považovat za účinnou formu pomoci při hledání nového profesního uplatnění. Pro účely bakalářské práce budou nejdříve vymezena kritéria profesionálního sportovce. Dále bude věnována pozornost souvisejícím tématům, jako je kariérní poradenství, kariérní přechod a sportovní kariéra. Poté bude nastíněn průběh sportovní kariéry, průběh jejího ukončování a důvody ukončení sportovní kariéry a také faktory, které proces ukončování sportovní kariéry ovlivňují. Představeny budou také programy kariérního poradenství a nástroje, které mohou sportovcům ulehčit kariérní přechod. Dále budou zmíněny možnosti uplatnění profesionálního sportovce v pracovním životě po ukončení aktivní sportovní kariéry. Kvalitativní empirické šetření bude realizováno metodou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů. Rozhovorů se zúčastní deset aktivních i bývalých vrcholových sportovců, kteří během své sportovní kariéry či při jejím ukončování využili nějakou formu kariérního poradenství nebo služby programu Duální kariéra.
