Motivace žáků k učení v hodinách jazyků na gymnáziu

Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with students' motivation to study during foreign languages lessons at secondary schools. The thesis consists of two parts: theoretical and practical. The key concepts - motivation itself, approach to motivation and types of motivation, are defined in the theoretical part. The author uses recent scientific literature and articles. The most used titles are work by Hrabal, Man and Pavelková and by Lokšová and Lokša. Both titles use a very intelligible language. The objective of the practical part is to find answers to the research questions: 1. How do the foreign language teachers perceive motivation? 2. How do the teachers motivate their students? The author of the thesis contacted seven teachers of an anonymous secondary school in order to find the answers. The answers were being searched for via semi-structured interviews with these seven teachers. Either qualitative or quantitative methods could be used to analyze the result of the research. This thesis uses qualitative method since the number of the respondents wasn't as important as finding individual understandings of the subject. Tato bakalářská práce řeší motivaci žáků k učení v hodinách jazyků na gymnáziu. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části byly vymezeny nejdůležitější pojmy - pojem motivace, přístupy k motivaci a dělení motivace. Zpracování proběhlo skrz odbornou literaturu a odborné články. Nejvíce autorka využila knihu od Hrabala, Mana a Pavelkové a dále od Lokšové a Lokši. Obě jsou psány velmi srozumitelně. V praktické části bylo cílem najít odpovědi na výzkumné otázky: 1. Jak učitelé jazyků vnímají motivaci? 2. Jak učitelé motivují své žáky? Za tímto účelem autorka vyhledala na nejmenovaném gymnáziu sedm učitelek. Hledání odpovědí probíhalo za pomoci polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s již zmíněnými sedmi učitelkami, které učí na tomto gymnáziu. K vyhodnocení výsledků bylo zapotřebí stanovit metodu, jakou bude výzkum probíhat - kvalitativní, nebo kvantitativní. V této práci se využilo kvalitativní metody, jelikož zde nešlo o počet respondentů, ale podstatné bylo nalezení individuálních pohledů na zkoumanou tematiku. Zjištěná data autorka analyzovala, a to pomocí otevřeného kódování, ze kterého vznikla témata, díky kterým bylo možné zodpovědět výzkumné otázky.
