Role dvou profesorů drážďanské Akademie, Richarda Müllera a Emanuela Hegenbartha, ve vztazích mezi Prahou a Drážďany

Abstract

(česky): Předkládaná disertační práce se zabývá dvěma umělci: Emanuelem Hegenbarthem (1868-1923) a Richardem Müllerem (1874-1954). Oba byli čeští Němci, tedy německé národnosti, používající německý jazyk jakožto obcovací řeč, narození ve druhé polovině 19. století v Čechách na území tehdejšího Rakouska-Uherska, dnešní České republiky a později dlouhodobě působící v Drážďanech. Tato počáteční skutečnost pro každého z nich představovala jiné východisko a zaujala odlišnou roli v jejich pozdější životní a umělecké dráze. Richard Müller za svého života kontakt s českým územím neztratil, ale nepojily ho k němu výrazné vazby a za svůj domov a zázemí považoval Drážďany. Vlivnou úlohu sehrál zejména z pozice profesora drážďanské Akademie, kterou zastával po dobu více než třiceti let. Jeho umělecké zásady a tvůrčí činnost formovaly nastupující pokolení umělců, k němuž patřili i zástupci německy hovořících umělců z Čech, Moravy a Slezska, kteří prošli jeho ateliérem. Součástí práce je exkurz věnovaný Herbertu Seemannovi (1900-1945), v jehož díle je Müllerův vliv nejvíce zřetelný. Jiný přístup lze nalézt u Emanuela Hegenbartha, který přes své profesorské působení na Akademii v Drážďanech udržoval s oblastí Čech intenzivní a aktivní vazby. (in English): The presented PhD thesis deals with two artists, Emanuel Hegenbarth (1868-1923) and Richard Müller (1874-1954). Both were Czech Germans, i.e. of German nationality, using German as their vernacular language, born in the second half of the 19th century in Bohemia the territory of the former Austro-Hungarian Empire (nowday's Czech Republic) and later have been working for a long time in Dresden. This initial reality represented a different starting point for each of them and played a different role in their later life and artistic trajectory. Richard Müller did not lose contact with his bohemian homeland during his lifetime, but he did not have strong ties to it and considered Dresden his home and background. He was particularly influential as a professor at the Dresden Academy, a position he held for more than thirty years. His artistic principles and creative activity shaped the emerging generation of artists, which included representatives of German-speaking artists from Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia who passed through his studio. The thesis includes an excursus devoted to Herbert Seemann (1900-1945), in whose work Müller's influence is most evident.
