Nestacionarita konstrukce národu v současné Evropě: Časoprostorová diferenciace v podpoře a vlivu faktorů regionálního nacionalismu v Katalánsku

Abstract

Regionální nacionalismus a s ním související separatistické tendence mají výrazný vliv na teritoriální (dez)integraci řady států světa, Evropu nevyjímaje. Tyto procesy přispěly k proměně (akademického) náhledu na státy, které byly tradičně vnímané jako uniformní, kohezní a kontinuální politické entity. Výzkum teritoriální a societální koheze a kontinuity v rámci regionálních nacionalistických hnutí byl však doposud spíše opomíjen, ačkoliv se tento aspekt zdá být klíčovým pro úspěšnou mobilizaci a dosažení cílů separatistických hnutí v heterogenních demokratických společnostech. Tato práce si klade za cíl zkoumat limity uniformity a kontinuity, tj. časoprostorovou diferenciaci v politických afiliacích k secesionistickému regionálnímu nacionalismu v Katalánsku, včetně objasnění možné časoprostorové nestacionarity vlivu faktorů, které tyto afiliace podmiňují. Katalánsko je příkladem regionu se silným kulturním a inkluzivně-asimilačním nacionalismem, který proliferuje v rámci etno-kulturně heterogenní a segregované společnosti. Regional nationalism and consequent separatist tendencies have a significant impact on the territorial (dis)integration of many countries across the globe, and Europe is no exception. These processes contributed to changes in the traditional academic understanding of states as uniform, cohesive, and continuous political entities. Nevertheless, research on territorial and societal cohesion and continuity within regional nationalist movements has so far been neglected, even though this aspect seems to be key to the successful mobilization and goal achievement of separatist movements in heterogeneous democratic societies. This thesis aims to examine the limits of uniformity and continuity, that is, a time-space differentiation in political affiliations to secessionist regional nationalism in Catalonia, including the explanation of a time-space nonstationarity in the effects of factors behind the affiliations. Catalonia is an example of region with intense cultural and inclusive-assimilationist nationalism which proliferates within an ethno-culturally heterogeneous and segregated society.
