Povodeň 2013 v České republice v kontextu povodní minulých, systému předpovědní povodňové služby a jeho budoucnosti =Floods 2013 in the Czech Republic in the context of past floods, Flood Warning Service and its future

Abstract

Příspěvek se zabývá krátkým srovnáním povodně v červnu 2013 se staršími známými povodněmi z hlediska podobností i rozdílů. Hlavním cílem článku je však rekapitulace podnětů vzešlých z povodně směrem k činnosti hydrometeorologické služby. Navrhujeme zejména zabývat se úpravou systému vydávání výstrah tak, aby byly pro uživatele srozumitelnější a lépe vyhovovaly jejich potřebám. Věnujeme se rovněž specifickému problému hlavního města Prahy z hlediska výstražné služby.

The contribution presents a short comparison of the June 2013 floods with the historical flood events in terms of similarities and differences. However, the main purpose of the paper is to summarise the experience from the flood as an impetus for the future development of the hydrometeorological service. A proposal is presented for potential changes in the system of hydrometeorological warnings in respect of intelligibility and practicability for the users. We in particular discuss the specifics of Prague from the point of view of the warning service.
